Air purifier rental and servicing plans

Serviced rental bundles the unit, filters, preventive visits and two-way delivery into one rate, which suits a business that wants no upfront capital or a fixed-term need like haze season. These guides cover what is and is not included, what to check in a contract, what happens when a unit breaks down mid-term, and how to renew or scale an agreement.

Renting makes sense for a specific kind of business

Serviced rental suits two situations: a business that does not want to commit capital to equipment it is still sizing correctly, and a business with a fixed-term need, such as extra units for haze season. It also suits a company that expects headcount or floor area to change within the contract period, because a rental agreement can scale in a way a purchased fleet cannot. Our overview of commercial air purifier rental in Singapore covers the basics; if you are weighing renting against an outright purchase, our guide to buying versus renting for a growing business works through when each makes more sense. A single-site pilot before a wider commitment is a reasonable middle step, which our guide to running a pilot before a company-wide rollout sets out in more detail.

Sizing still comes before the rate

A rental rate is quoted per room, so the room still needs sizing first. Required clean-air delivery (CADR, m³/h) equals floor area (m²) × ceiling height (m) × target air changes per hour, and US CDC guidance sets a floor of at least 5 clean-air changes per hour for an occupied space. A 45 m² clinic waiting room with a 2.6 m ceiling at 5 ACH needs 45 × 2.6 × 5 = 585 m³/h, which a single Pro 800S (CADR 800) covers with margin; a smaller 20 m² consultation room at the same ceiling height needs 20 × 2.6 × 5 = 260 m³/h, well inside a Classic 400S's 480 m³/h. Our sizing calculator runs this arithmetic for any room, and the resulting figure — not the headline rental rate — is what actually determines which unit, and how many, go on the quote.

Why two rental quotes for the same square footage can differ

A noticeably cheaper rental plan is not automatically a worse one, but it usually differs somewhere specific: servicing frequency, filter grade, or what counts as a preventive visit versus a chargeable one. Our guide to what typically differs in a budget rental plan sets out what to check line by line. Servicing bundled into the rate is the standard expectation for a genuine rental agreement; a separate servicing charge on top of the rental rate is worth asking about before signing, which our guide to servicing included versus billed separately covers.

What a serviced rental rate actually includes

A rental rate is built to include the unit, filters, parts, preventive servicing visits and two-way delivery, so there is no separate capital outlay before the first unit arrives — our guide to renting with no upfront cost explains what happens once the agreement starts. The ongoing running cost of a purifier, whether rented or purchased, is driven by more than the electricity bill: filter changes, servicing labour and, for units with a UV-C or lamp component, lamp replacement all factor in, which our guide to what drives running cost breaks down. A supplier's paperwork responsiveness matters more than it sounds: an overseas manufacturer can be slow to turn around a documentation request against a deadline, whereas local documentation support responds on a working day — our guide to local versus overseas documentation support explains why that matters. Taken together, these are the practical markers of what a genuine rental company commitment looks like, beyond the headline rate on the first quote.

Contract terms, breakdowns and scaling as the business changes

Before signing, check what the contract says about filter change frequency, servicing response time, what happens at a breakdown, and how easily the agreement scales up or down — our guide to what to check in a rental contract goes through each of these in turn. A unit failing mid-term is the scenario a contract's fine print matters most for: what counts as a covered fault, and what response time is realistic, is set out in our guide to breakdown coverage mid-contract, and our guide to what happens during an emergency servicing call covers what typically triggers that call and what to check yourself before the technician arrives. As headcount grows, a fixed purchase cannot add capacity as easily as a rental agreement can; our guide to scaling a rental agreement as the business grows sets out how units get added and servicing adjusted without renegotiating the whole contract.

What we will not claim

We will not claim that a rented unit reduces sick days, prevents an outbreak, or satisfies a specific regulatory requirement on its own — rental status has no bearing on health outcomes, and we do not have data to support that kind of claim regardless of contract type. What we will state is what is in the contract: filters, parts, preventive servicing and two-way delivery included in the rate, and a response time for breakdowns, both set out plainly before you sign. AIRE units carry H13 HEPA specification, CE, RoHS and ISO 9001/14001 management system certification, along with an FDA Class 2 medical device listing held by the manufacturer, detailed further on our verification page.

The next step is a sized quote, not a rate card

Every rental or purchase quote starts with a Clinic Air Report: a S$150 site visit, minimum two rooms, every room measured on site, report emailed within two working days. If a specified unit does not reach the report's stated air-change figure once installed, we upgrade or add a unit at no extra cost. A one-month rental pilot is available for one or two rooms if you want units in place before a wider agreement — this is priced as rental, not a trial. From there, our product range and our contact page are the next steps toward a rate that matches the rooms you actually have.
