Can Air Purifiers Reduce Sick Days at the Office?

The honest answer: nobody can promise you a number

If a vendor tells you their machine will cut your sick leave by some exact percentage, be sceptical. Absence depends on far more than office air — what staff catch at home, children bringing bugs back from school, crowded commutes, workload and stress. Why shared office air is a sick-day multiplier

Think about how illness moves through a Singapore office. One colleague comes in with the sniffles on Monday. The windows stay closed for the air-con, the same air recirculates through the open-plan floor, and the team sits through back-to-back meetings in small, sealed rooms. Air-conditioning cools air; it does not clean it of the fine respiratory particles an infectious person exhales continuously. Those particles linger and accumulate in the spaces where your team spends the most time together — meeting rooms, pantries, dense desk clusters.
