The Sizing Method: CADR × Room Volume × ACH

You only need one formula:

Required CADR (m³/h) = floor area (m²) × ceiling height (m) × target air changes per hour.

Recommended targets: homes 3–4 ACH, offices 4–5, clinics 5 or more. CADR (clean air delivery rate) is the volume of filtered air a purifier actually delivers per hour, so it maps directly onto this formula. The worked examples below assume a 2.6 m ceiling — swap in your measured height for an exact figure.

Three worked examples

• 20 m² meeting room: 20 × 2.6 × 5 = 260 m³/h. A Fillo Plus (CADR 300) covers this with headroom to spare — one unit per meeting room, since a closed door makes every room its own air zone.
